The Eternal Triangle by S. Stitt

Noa Z.

  • Sonny Stitt's The Eternal Triangle is based off of Rhythm changes from the George Gershwin standard "I Got Rhythm." This set of changes is one that every jazz musician must learn, and I decided that this was my time. It was not easy and still isn't, but this is not the end of my rhythm changes journey. This piece is always a reminder that there is always room to grow and that the journey of a musician is brutal, beautiful, and never ending.

  • True creativity is being lost in time, consumed by the spirit that moves us. When you arrive at that dreamy headspace between reality and your own imagination, hard work comes naturally. Nothing is limited and your art can is an extension of your true self.
