Tossing Rocks

Skylar V.

  • On a family camping trip to McArthur Burney Falls, me and my friend Will biked down to the Cemetery Grove on the lake. It was just reaching dusk by the time we reached the bottom. The light was just so beautiful, not to mention the surrounding of tall and majestic pines next to the small beachfront of eroding soil next to the shimmering water. So i grabbed the opportunity and asked will to sit on a log with long grass growing out of it creating a somewhat constant backdrop, and toss a rock. Then I shot the Picture just as the rock was reaching its highest.

  • Its ingrained in the ways I have fun, ways I learn, ways I interact socially. Its allowed me to connect to my identity in a way I never knew before. Also connecting me with others with similar interests/goals to mine. Its given me a different and enhanced way of experiencing and appreciating life.
