The New! The Best! POCS!

Trans Death as Life
This poem was inspired in part by the death of Leelah Alcorn, a trans teenage woman who died by suicide as a result of her parents' constant abuse. While writing this poem, I thought about my own experience as a trans Christian and the spirituality and pain of one's own bodily imperfection.
For Other Voices
I wrote my poem on child victimization the night I lost my dog, my best friend and companion. While in a devastated and vulnerable state, I felt the need to write for others in distressed states.
