I made this poem soon after summer had finished, I had listened to a horror podcast over summer break and was inspired by its writing.

This poem was inspired in part by the death of Leelah Alcorn, a trans teenage woman who died by suicide as a result of her parents' constant abuse. While writing this poem, I thought about my own experience as a trans Christian and the spirituality and pain of one's own bodily imperfection.

My artwork is the performance of improvised gayageum minyo using a 12-string sanjo-style gayageum.

I have learned the Scriabin Etude op. 8 no. 12 since October 2022. I have spent two months before then learning the piece, and receiving instruction to aid this process.
