Bellagio Fountain
I’ve always enjoyed taking pictures of places I thought were pretty. This one was a photo I took at the Fountains of Bellagio in Las Vegas. Whenever I visit a place, I try to take many pictures to remember and capture moments. What made me take a picture of this view was the night sky and the clouds and how it contrasted with the lights from the buildings which I thought looked pretty. It reminded me of a painting. The lights and the sky reflecting from the water also looked nice. Looking back at this photo makes me want to go back.
Leaving
Because Ive recently gone into high school I think about the idea of leaving for college and leaving home much more often. And as im looking back on 2023 it makes me think about where I want to be at the end of 2024 . This picture of crows flying away from me reminds me of that feeling, especially because just like that feeling, there was so many of them that they couldn't be ignored.
Window To Heaven
This photograph was taken within Casa Batllo in Barcelona, Spain. While walking around the beautiful house created by one of the most inspirational artistic figures in Spain, Antoni Gaudí, I got inspired by the architecture and look of the house, as he used lighting and color to reflect his creative endeavors with the house. In this photograph, you see the magnificent turquoise and blue tile walking you right up to the windows facing each other in the long space that goes from the top to the bottom of the house, and the large window panels on the roof, giving light to a once dark space. The use of light and dimension in the image almost creates an illusion that is fascinating to the eye. Although this was taken on a film camera, I was still hoping to get the same color and grain that original film has because this house was made for the long lost art of film, for the people who want to create art within their community and branch out and find new ways of showcasing their art form. I was so happy to see the final outcome of this picture after its long travel back to America, where it was developed and could be shown to the world. That is the amazing thing about film, you never know how the picture is going to come out, and this was one that was just absolutely stunning.
Fire of Light
I decided that simple could be better and took this light painting photo. I covered part of the phone with my fingers, making the red color
Too Perfect
While on my vacation in Honolulu, I wanted to take a picture of the beautiful Hawaiian sunset. So, before the sun fell below the horizon and the sky was gorgeously lit, I captured the perfect shot. In doing so, I captured the multi-colored sunset with the palm trees in the background, and getting just enough of the ocean blue. I submitted this photo because this shot was the start of my photography journey.
