This piece portrays the feeling of being trapped inside the standards that today’s society has. People judge you for who you are not but then also for who you are. The poem is formatted to symbolize the constraints and limitations we are given. Even though these constraints of society are not written in print, we feel obliged to conform. If only everyone felt safe expressing themselves freely, the world would be such a different place as seen in the free form of the last half of the poem.

To me, creativity is the ability to think and view things differently. In poetry, it’s the ability to see beyond the words and their literal meanings. Creativity is a form of expression, as no idea will ever be the same.
