Fading Horizons

Cairo S.

  • This song was highly inspired by Hans Zimmer and other movie soundtrack composers. I was also inspired by Beach House. Their way of layering different sounds over eachother helped me alot with this song. This song captures the delicate balance between hope and melancholy. The guitar provides rhythm, pushing the song forward, while the piano and strings try and slow down the song. Later in the song, there is a hopeful melody, suggesting that even as things fade, there’s beauty in letting go. I used bongos instead of a drum kit, to keep the softness and hopefulness. As the main part of the song fades out, it reveals the opening theme with the piano once again. And, as the final bell fades away, you realize that letting go was the right choice.

  • Creativity is the opening of the mind to produce something that only you could produce. It is the best way to express yourself.
