”Hind Light” deftly leverages watercolor’s intrinsic properties to articulate a compelling narrative about identity through its dualistic visual composition. I layered the colors using its transparency to enrich the depiction by allowing colors to bleed and blend subtly, lending an ethereal quality to the dreamlike side of the canvas. The piece visually represents the conflict between the self as seen by others and the self as experienced internally. The vibrant, floral side symbolizes the colorful, polished persona presented to the world, while the obscured, shadowy side reflects the tangled and often obscured inner thoughts and feelings. By presenting this dualistic portrayal, I wanted to comment our ongoing internal dialogues and the disparate ways in which we are viewed by others versus how we view ourselves.

To me, creativity is weaving diverse media and symbols into complex visual narratives exploring human experience. My approach to art is not only capturing visual beauty but to also provoke thought and evoke emotional responses.
