• Artist Statement

  This piece juxtaposes a skull and flowers in a vase to represent the stark difference between life and death while also comparing how one cannot exist without the other. The stark contrast in this piece is also meant to represent this intertwined but opposite nature of life and death, highlighting the beauty of life and the inevitability of death, inviting reflection on the connected but opposite roles of the human experience.

  Creativity to me means making something that expresses something I find important or exciting while also integrating my personal beliefs and interests, overall ”me” combined with the world outside to create something that speaks about both me and the world as a whole.
