This started as one of several experiments with weaving paper, and then for this one I wanted to make a beam of light like from a street light with a night-time background. Then I added the animals (the butterfly is on a fishing line), some dictionary entries I thought fit the vibe (the cats emotions), and some little embellishments. It was quite fun, definitely one of my favorite things I’ve made..
