This piece is inspired by the part of horror centered around women’s suffering. It seems that horror media from games to movies are around some part of the female experience. These women can be victims to villains or both yet you can feel their pain all the same. In this piece, a girl looks back with fear armed with a knife, yet in her reflection appears a monster. Yet the monster is a part of the girl, the paranoid part that is helpless and disregarded for sick desires as the world surrounding her is more horrific. The girl can become a monster and harm others in her pain or she can be helpless and discarded by the cruelty of her sick reality. As truly, the experience of being a woman is horror.
