Youth ”Die-In” Protest for Climate Justice

  • A child (top left) participates in a ”die-in” outside BNY Mellon’s San Francisco office, pretending to be dead in protest of the bank’s involvement in the Israel/Palestine conflict. This demonstration was part of an Earth Day march organized by Oakland-based youth climate justice group Youth vs. Apocalypse.

  • To me, my camera is a way for me to display perspectives often overlooked. My entry was part of a photojournalism-based independent study on Bay Area youth activism, where I sought to uplift the work of young people and broaden the traditional definition of activism.
