It was the year I got my braces off, after almost 5 years of tacky metal in my mouth. In a way, the braces grew up with me, I was 11 when I got them, and now I’m 16.

Hostile architecture uses design to limit the physical activities of people who use public spaces most - youth, low-income, or unhoused people. It may look innocent at first glance -- perhaps metal studs on concrete or bars in the middle of park benches -- but ultimately they serve to keep out the public, making so much public infrastructure uncomfortable or unusable.

My art teacher inspired me to paint a tree, because I saw a beautiful one he had painted. I picked this tree because it is the tree that gave Palo Alto its name, and every year me and my family and friends do a special Christmas running race in Palo Alto.

This is a book cover I designed for the book ”The Secret Garden” by Frances Hodgson Burnett. It is one of my favorite books, and has been since childhood. This peice is my first completed digital project, and my first time drawing digitally since early 8th grade. The front cover depicts the garden mentioned in the title how it is at the beginning of the book, and from an outside perspective. The back cover shows said garden at the end of the book, and from an inside perspective.

This art is supposed to be a teaser for my online community for a anime that I have been planning for 5 years. Sadly I’m still pinning final details for it!
