My illustration depicts a person who has already been consumed but is attempting to escape. This is why I chose the word Sciamachy as my title, a Greek phrase that refers to “fighting your demons” or “fighting imagined enemies.”

The art piece I have chosen has been picked because of the mood it creates. The mood it creates is Dark vs.Light which is a constant theme in life.

This piece focuses on the extreme, in-your-face contrast that the image presents to the viewer. With the stark white text and bright orange brick background, the “Dont Drink Tap Water” becomes almost unreadable, causing the viewer to focus even further on the photograph to see the graffiti.

My dog, Ike, went outside on a sunny day and laid down, eventually falling asleep. There was a light breeze blowing his fur around. I went out with him, and after he fell asleep I took a picture.

This pace is a representation of a baby's inability to sit still, as well as the reflection upon the baby.

My photo contains many repeating shapes such as rectangles from the sky and structure. Triangles from the cone and structure. And a trapezoid from the sky.

As I was admiring the persimmons that were growing from our persimmon tree, the beautiful red and yellow leaf caught my attention.

I like my work to pop out with vibrant and beautiful colors and also have on sight still camera hold straight on perfection.

I enjoy being outside and in nature and being inspired by the world around me.

My artistic process involves just thinking, and realizing that I enjoy making art, while making it it can span from 30 minutes to 3 hours depending on what I am doing, it is really fun for me and I do it a lot. The process involves me, and just how I feel.

Each sunset at Bolinas is unique and always surprises me at how beautiful it is. I love bringing my camera to Bolinas because I can capture the beautiful colors of the sunset so clearly.

When creating my work, I find it best when I feel relaxed and not rushed. I often like taking pictures of things in nature because it feels so peaceful. It's my getaway from crazy everyday life.

My process is photographing anything creative that interests me.

I took this shot in the middle of an old road looking towards a mountain.

As I was walking along this beach in El Salvador the reflection in the water gave me an idea. I let my family continue walking and I let them get far enough so that the reflection would show.

Taking a class in digital photography, my love for nature photography grew immensely. I've used different visual techniques to make my photo aesthetically pleasing, including color (saturation/tone), framing, texture, and light quality.

When I take photos, I don't go out looking for things to take photos of. Instead, I walk around. I listen, and observe. When I look around, often I see something that just clicks: an angle, some colors, or something aesthetically pleasing. When taking the photos, I realize that the best way for me to create is just to notice the little things around me.
